The 2011 Convenience Retail Awards are now underway and this year's contest is hotter than ever. The entry deadline will be Friday 19th November 2010 and the awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 31st March 2011 at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London.
The convenience sector continues to go from strength to strength, and we're delighted to be able to celebrate once again the success of the industry in all its store types, whether large or small, independent or part of a chain.
In addition to the store awards, thre are also the special category awards which are designed to showcase the great professionalism and achievements earned by c-store retailers in some of the industry's more challenging areas. None more so than the Zero Tolerance award which seeks to reward those who have minimised or eliminated a persistent specific problem connected to crime or anti-social behaviour in or around their store.
The Zero Tolerance anti-crime campaign, is a multi award-winning initiative with one objective, ensuring that retailers interests and profits are always protected. The neighbourhood sector is quite possibly the most dynamic division within the grocery market and certainly one which falls foul of an increasingly high level of crime.
Convenience Store magazine keeps its readership up-to-date on key acquisitions, mergers and appointments, together with changes to the wholesale and cash and carry marketplace. Every issue of Convenience Store contains business news, in-depth industry analysis and topical features which tackle the issues that convenience store owners face.
Loomis UK are not only committed to driving down crime and risk in retail through its day-to-day operation but, are pro-actively working with and supporting initiatives such as Zero Tolerance to stamp out retail crime for good.
- A problem-solving approach to crime and anti-social behaviour issues
- Resourcefulness and a determination to succeed
- Evidence of working with local people and law enforcement to improve the environment for the entire community
Closing date for entries is the 19th of November, 2010 and details on entry can be found at www.cr-awards.co.uk.
