Early notifications have commenced around the planned events over the Royal Jubilee Weekend on 2,3,4,&5 June.
From the information to be found on the DirectGov website there will be a significant impact on London across the extended Bank Holiday weekend.
Directgov have launched an informational section on The Queens Diamond Jubilee to help find out what is being planned to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee and how to take part.
The link http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Nl1/Newsroom/Features/DG_WP200687 (2015 - defunct now) highlights the many events which will take place that weekend and it is advised that planning starts now around that weekend's events.
There will be large crowds in and around the Central London area. There will also be road closures due to parades and processions which, again, are outlined on DirectGov.
To mark 60 years of The Queen's reign the Diamond Jubilee will take place in 2012. The celebrations will centre around an extended weekend in 2012 on 2, 3, 4 and 5 June.

It features the latest news, photographs, announcements and historical information about The Queen's 60-year reign. Visitors can also send a congratulatory message to The Queen.
