ATMIA launches new "Cash Lives" video for social media

The ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) has announced the global release of it's new “Cash Lives” video.

The key theme of the video, which has been posted on YouTube and other social media, is that cash lives on because it is "fungible"* and this quality has never been replicated by digital systems, as explained on the video by Stephen Dubner, author of the global business best-selling book Freakonomics.

The ATMIA states in it's press release that "the idea for the video came from the ATMIA’s ATM Cash Council whose mission is to portray the truth about cash by tracking global cash demand, circulation and usage today, whilst protecting the freedom of the world’s citizens to choose to use cash if they so wish."

“Reports of the death of cash have been greatly exaggerated,” commented Mike Lee, CEO of ATMIA.

“Watch ‘Cash Lives’ to find out why this idea is sheer nonsense. It’s a punchy, red-hot video about what cash means to humanity even in this digital age.”
