Fake £20: Warnings in the Highlands

The Northern Constabulary are advising the public that a number of forged £20 notes are currently in circulation in the Inverness area.

To date, the forged notes brought to the attention of Police to date have been printed on poor quality paper but, the public should be vigilant that any bank notes tendered are not forgeries.

The Northern Constabulary is urging members of the public to be on the lookout for the counterfeit notes in the Inverness area, and anyone coming across them or who may have information regarding them is asked to contact the Police or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
