Loomis Cash In Transit Innovation/Strategy

Objectives & Strategy

Loomis direction has been formulated in a mission statement with the overall objective of creating value for the shareholders and all stakeholders in the company. The desired position and objectives have several strategic consequences.

Mission statement
Loomis’ mission is to:

  • Be a world class provider in delivering quality, secure services for managing cash in society.
  • Operate with a strong local presence but establish and systematically share best practices from our extensive international network.
  • Base our business philosophy on balance, strong leadership, proactive risk management and a commitment to our employee/teammates.

Strategic direction
Efficient, comprehensive solutions for the public flow of cash
Loomis strives to increase efficiency in the public flow of cash and offers complete cash logistics through innovative and secure solutions for banks and businesses. We will be a global leader in cash handling services, and by that we mean our products and services will be of superior quality. Our product portfolio will be comprehensive in all our markets and we will market integrated solutions for efficient cash logistics.

Risk management
Understanding and managing risk for our customers and ourselves is central to our operation. Safety consciousness permeates Loomis’ entire organization. Loomis’ risk management strategy is communicated clearly internally and procedures for managing operational as well as financial risks are developed continuously. We take controlled risks and react quickly to prevent losses and minimize the risks we have chosen to accept.

A global company with local ties
Loomis’ international presence is a success factor, especially locally, since many of the problems we face are universal and we can benefit from experiences from other countries. Operating under one name and a common identity clarifies Loomis’ global presence, but business is of a local nature and leadership builds on taking considerable local responsibility. As a service company, our employees are our most important asset and we believe we benefit from operating in a multicultural environment.

A leading market position
Scale advantages are an essential competitive advantage, so the strategy is for Loomis to be, or have the opportunity to become, one of the two biggest players in each geographic market. To achieve and retain such a market position, Loomis must consolidate the existing operation and growth during profitability. The growth objective will be reached through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions, whose purpose will be to strengthen the product mix or the coverage of existing markets, or to enable leading positions on the new geographic market. We can achieve organic growth by targeting new customer segments or successfully developing new services.
